“I am so thankful that
God placed me there (SFCS) in order to receive my
education, not just academically but spiritually
as well. The teachers really do care. It is
more than a job to them; it is a ministry.”

“As a student
pursuing a Ph. D., I had the same concerns as my
parents. I had the opportunity to attend Lowell
High School, but I chose to continue my education
at SFCS. I do not regret my decision to stay.
The teachers really care for their students and
are willing to spend time outside of the classroom
to help the student excel. The well-rounded
education at SFCS allows the student to discover
where he might excel. The education I received
has adequately prepared me for college. An
excellent education is available at SFCS; it is
the student’s responsibility to excel, not just
pass. The teachers, the opportunities in
academics, and a Biblical education—these are
three reasons I stayed at SFC.”

“I
think that it is not the school that determines
who you become in life but instead it is
determined by your self-motivation to become
somebody in life. The school does play a big
part, but the bulk of the work has to come from
the student. Motivation, motivation, motivation is
the key. I am only able to say this because this
and God are what have gotten me to where I am
today. I first began by going to the University
of the Pacific in the fall of 1998, immediately
after graduating from SFCS. I was able to
graduate [from
college]
a semester early with a B.S. in Biological
Sciences in the fall of 2001. I was then accepted
to the Doctor of Pharmacy program at the
university in the fall of 2002. It is now 2005,
and I am set to graduate with my doctorate in May
of this year. I am currently seeking interviews
with several hospitals (Kaiser Permanente, Sutter
Health, CHW).”

“My education at SFCS changed my
life greatly. I not only grew academically, but
spiritually as well. Arriving at SFCS, I was
presented with academics from a Christian
perspective. This prepared me for my college
career. My education also helped prepare me as a
leader. I am currently a Psychology Major,
mainly in youth and family, here at Corban
College. I am continuing to use talents I
developed at SFCS in my various areas of
outreach.”
