I grew up in a pastor’s home, the oldest of six children. My father’s ministries with “Youth For Christ” and pastoring three churches spanned over 60 years. I am married to a wonderful, supportive woman and together we have six children, twenty grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
I initially came to SFC as a Middle School English teacher. I moved into an administrative position and enjoyed several years in that role. Over the last 18 years, I have been heavily involved with our international students. My wife and I have hosted several young men from China, with as many as three of them living with us at a time. During that time I was also privileged to travel to China about a dozen times recruiting students and introducing families to SFCS.
I currently manage the facilities at SFC and am involved in leadership and service roles here at Calvary Baptist Church. Working for both the Church and the school gives a unique perspective on how God uses His children to impact the hundreds of lives that walk through our buildings seven days a week.
Every year begins with a new set of challenges and promises. I see this coming school year as one that is full of possibilities. God is always faithful. He is always working. The anticipation of what He has in store for us next is one of the things that motivates me to continue in this ministry.
