Life Verse

“You have been with me from birth; from my mother’s womb you have cared for me. No wonder I am always praising you! My life is an example to many, because you have been my strength and protection. That is why I can never stop praising you; I declare your glory all day long.” —Psalm 71:6-8

Interesting Facts

I am proud to be a parent of SFC students. They come home singing praises and speaking truths, and go to school confident they are cherished by their teachers and staff. I am blessed to be a teacher at SFC, now in my 6th year. I teach to empower others through language and literacy. In God’s image, we grow relationships with the sincerity and compassion of our common stories. At school, that looks like comprehension and fluency in English, Spanish, History and a new form of literacy — Finance! At home I treasure these gifts of community and creativity with my husband “Coach” Danny, whom you will meet at soccer matches and school family events. Our three children, who you can meet at school with me, will be in the 6th, 3rd and KB classes. We consider ourselves a missionary family, and have served God’s children through many ministries, including St. Paul’s House urban ministries in NYC, Camp Comanche children’s ministries in Pennsylvania, addiction recovery counseling here in SF, and the various ways the Salvation Army, our home church, is the hands and feet of Jesus. Our blood family and God family are spread across the country and world, and we travel as often as able to the East Coast and South America to love on them and build memories. We praise God for bringing us to SFC and to the open arms of God’s people in San Francisco to continue the good work begun here.
