Hello! I’m starting my teaching career at SFC, and this year I’ll be teaching earth science, physical science, and chemistry. I hold a B.S. in biology with a minor in chemistry from Colorado Christian University, and the more I study science, the more awe and wonder I have for who God is as Creator. That’s what I hope my students walk out with.
I was born and raised in Half Moon Bay, the middle of five girls, and my mom is an SFC alumna, so this school was part of my family’s story long before it was part of mine. Studying at a Christian university gave me a passion for the greater mission of Christian education. I attend Mariners Community Church here in Half Moon Bay, where I’ve spent the last three years volunteering with the middle and high school ministry. Walking alongside students that age has become one of the best parts of my week.
What draws me to teaching is the long view. Middle and high school is when students start deciding what they believe and who they want to become, and being one of the adults in the room for that is a responsibility I take seriously. I’m looking forward to joining the SFC family, and you’ll find me in the stands at as many games as I can get to.
