Cross Country

Your child can set a goal, keep going when the course turns hard, and finish with a team waiting at the line.

Come and play

Cross country is honest. The course does not care who your child ran against last week, only whether they went out and did the work.

That makes it one of the best places to start. There is no bench in cross country, and a runner who is faster in November than in September has something real to show for the season.

  • Endurance. Built run by run.
  • A goal of their own. Measured against their own last time.
  • Resolve. Holding the pace when the course turns up.
  • Team. Cheering teammates across the line.

Meet dates appear on the Athletics Calendar, and results are posted on MaxPreps.

Cross country is one way SFC puts Healthy Body into practice, the H in H.E.A.R.T.: caring for the body God has given your child, and using it for His glory.

Meet your athletic director

Is cross country the right fit?

Mr. Valenzuela can tell you when the team trains, what a meet weekend looks like, and how your child can join. Ask him where to start.
