Meet Troy
Troy is the Trojan. He first turned up on August 14, 2025, and he has not missed much since. Games, chapel, spirit days, the occasional hallway. Wherever there is noise being made, he is usually near the front of it.
He has never said a word. He has never needed to.
The file on Troy
- Favorite color. Blue and gold. Asked to pick one, he declines.
- Known for. Push-ups. In full armor, without warming up, at no notice.
- Favorite reading. Ephesians 6. He owns the armor, so he takes the chapter personally.
- First appearance. August 14, 2025.
The referee incident
Rumor has it that Troy was once ejected from a game for taunting a referee.
Troy would like it noted that the rumor is unconfirmed. If it did happen, he is very sorry, and he has learned his lesson. He now puts that energy into push-ups, which everybody agrees is an improvement.
Where to find him
Troy turns up where the Trojans are. Game dates are on the Athletics Calendar, and the sports he follows around are on the Athletics page. He does not appear on a schedule of his own, which he considers part of the appeal.
The armor is the joke and it is also the point. Troy wears a Trojan helmet, and the mural on our campus wall pairs that same helmet with Ephesians 6:17, the helmet of salvation. Ephesians 6 asks your child to put on armor of a rather different kind, and that is the part SFC actually cares about. The helmet is a costume. What it stands for is not.
